Fountain Powerboats Hosts the SBI 2006 Grand Prix Race
Approximately 50 of the world's most beautiful boats will be parading downtown Washington at 6:00 pm, Friday night and parked along Main Street and surrounding waterfront for you to enjoy.

Stop by the Race Village located at the Fountain Factory on Saturday, August 5th, from 8 am until 5 pm to see over 100 Classic cars compete for Top Honors, sponsored by the Down East Rods and Classics Car Club. Complete your day with an evening full of fun and music from 7 pm until 11:00 with live music from the Catalina's opening with Beach music, and ending the evening with Southern Country - Rock and Roll Band - Confederate Railroad. Racing fans will get a taste of what real horsepower sounds and feels like, Sunday, August 6th when The Biggest, Fastest Race Boats in the world descend on Washington, NC. Race day will satisfy anyone's "Need for Speed" when these boats come blasting down the beautiful Pamlico River. There will be a live remote to inform viewers of the action. First race begins at 1:00 and may be viewed along the shore of Whichard's Beach.

This premier event promises to draw large crowds from coast to coast to view this spectacular event by land or by water. Fountain Powerboats is pleased to host this event that will book hotels in a 60-mile radius and have local cash registers humming to the sound of success.
