May 27, 2007- Naples, Italy- Team Fountain Worldwide™ / King of Shaves
Dominates in Italy!
Fountain Worldwide, LLC. , the exclusive international distributor for Fountain
Powerboats, completed its first race in the European offshore racing series P-1 in
true Fountain fashion dominating both races in the Italian Grand Prix of the Sea.
The first event took place on Saturday in the Bay of Naples where the Ilmor
powered Fountain race boat throttled by Craig D. Wilson – President of Fountain
Worldwide, and Driven by James Sheppard took the lead on lap two from Team
OSG running in a Donzi. The impressive demonstration of the Fountain’s racing
lineage continued throughout the weekend as the team took the lead early in the
second race on Sunday and pushed hard to stretch their lead to 32 seconds over
the second place boat.
“We are very proud to be running in the P-1 series as it is a very professional
organization with the very best competitors”, stated Craig D. Wilson. “We are
excited to have had such a positive start to what we hope to be a long
relationship with P-1, and we look forward to the next race in Travemunde”
Plagued with customs issues as it left the United States, Team Fountain
Worldwide relied on its strong relationship with the United States government to
assist in the expeditious release of the boat from the port of entry in Belgium.
“We are thankful for our friends at the US Embassy in Belgium for assisting with
correcting a clerical error made by US Customs”, stated Tim McSwiney Director
of Business Development for Fountain Worldwide. “This afforded us crucial time
to test this brand new race boat and the results speak for themselves”.
Fountain Worldwide, having been the recent recipient of an export achievement
award from the U.S Government, has been aggressively expanding its
international dealership network to include additional European markets. The
company is using their involvement in racing to stimulate brand awareness and
reports have already indicated positive feedback from this impressive showing in
Italy.
