I purchased
our 38LX, BALLISTIC,
knowing that I had Cancer
and would have to be
operated on and have
chemotherapy. I waited
6 months for the boat
to be built and delivered.
Our salesman,Robin,
at Sports USA could
not have been nicer
or more accommodating.
I have
been an avid boater
since I purchased my
first used boat in 1976
for $500. Since then,
I have owned almost
every type motorboat
from 12' to 44', 28
boats in all. I decided
that the 38LX was the
perfect boat for my
wife and I. We have
owned it for 2 years
now and are still in
awe of the effortless
performance it delivers.
We generally cruise
at 50 mph (this used
to be top end for our
boats) with a boat load
of friends.The detail
in gel coat, upholstery,
features, rigging and
LOOKS made us change
to the Fountain Brand.
Everybody
loves the sun but the
huge top is nice when
the Florida Sun gets
to be too much. I only
have 165 hours on the
boat due to the cancer
treatments getting in
the way of playing time,
however since I'm now
Cancer Free I'll be
resuming my normal 250
hours a year of boating.
We have not fished the
boat yet but that will
change in 2007.
When
we pull up to a dock
or island every head
turns to look at our
boat; God I hate that,
just kidding. I can
not tell you how many
times it has been suggested
that our boat is not
fuel efficient, three
engines hanging off
the back seem to suggest
that, but when I tell
people that we get 1
MPG at 58 mph and 1.4
at 45 mph they are ready
to trade in their gas
guzzling boat. I just
want everyone at Fountain
Power Boats to know
that you now have another
satisfied customer that
praises your product
to everyone we meet.
I've followed this letter
with a picture of our
boat docked at the PIER
at St.Pete. Once again
Thanks to Sports USA
and Thanks to Fountain
Power Boats.
