DIRECTOR OF ENGINEERING AND PROTOTYPE

The position will oversee the design, engineering, tooling, and development of new boat models. This position oversees the Design Engineering Team, Manufacturing/Production Engineering Team, Tooling Department and Prototype Department.

PAINTERS - ALL SKILL LEVELS

Due to off-the-charts demand, we need painters of all skill levels...Master Painters, Apprentices and Assistants. We're not looking for just ordinary boat, car or motorcycle painters. We need skilled experts and trainees that would get a sense of pride from building the world's premier high-performance center consoles. Here's the bottom line: Salary ranges from $20 to $40 per hour. We're casting our net far and wide and are paying a signing bonus/relocation fee from $5,000 to $20,000. Paint Shop Helper / Shop Assistant

(Up to 1 year of applied experience in marine or automotive setting)

Skills: 

  • Ability to operate (or be trained) using sanding and buffing power and hand tools.
  • Capable of extended time sanding/buffing, use of step ladders and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Complete tasks in a timely manner, pay attention to detail, follow instructions and show initiative to learn additional skills.

Job Duties:

  • Assist Paint shop, prepping surfaces and parts.
  • Post-paint wet sanding, buffing and cleaning of finished parts.
  • Responsible for organizing tools, equipment, cleaning shop facilities and maintaining a safe work environment.

Intermediate Painter / Paint Apprentice

(1-2 years of applied experience in marine or automotive setting)

Skills: 

  • Working knowledge of basic paint processes including Single Stage & Base Clear application along with mixing and matching paint to produce desired color.
  • Capable of performing quality paint prep work with hand and power equipment.
  • Fundamental skills in paint masking.
  • Professional understanding of paint equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Basic knowledge of surface preparation, fairing and sanding using hand and pneumatic long-block and circular sanders.
  • Exhibit attention to detail throughout all aspects of paint processes.
  • Initiative to learn and grown skill set.
  • Basic skills in fiberglass body work (when needed).
  • Experience with Gel Coat a plus.

Job Duties:

  • Paint prepping surfaces and parts (by hand or power equipment).
  • Cleaning, tape masking, applying graphic paint mask, lifting/positioning parts, base and clear coat application.
  • Work independently at times in small parts paint application.
  • Intermediate painters will also be responsible for organizing tools, equipment, cleaning shop facilities and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Pro Painter / Master Painter

(3+ years of applied experience in marine or automotive setting)

Skills:

  • Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment and follow all OSHA guidelines.
  • Advanced knowledge of paint processes for Single State and Base Clear application.
  • Capable of performing professional paint prep work with power equipment or by hand.
  • Advanced skills in paint masking application.
  • Understanding of current paint technique trends.
  • Select and mix coating liquid to produce desired color.
  • Skill-set for fade and drop shadow techniques.
  • Gel coat/paint spraying, re-spraying, patching and blending.
  • Surface compound application.
  • Creative outlook and ability to work independently.
  • Professional understanding of paint equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of processes and ability to paint multiple layers for custom paint jobs.
  • Surface preparation, fairing and sanding using hand and pneumatic long-block and circular sanders.
  • Exhibit attention to detail throughout all aspects of paint processes.
  • Self-motivated, organized and able to manage deadlines

Job Duties:

  • Advanced paint application for small and large parts.
  • Ability to mix and match paint.
  • Applying advanced paint graphics.
  • Paint prepping surfaces and parts (by hand or power equipment).
  • Cleaning, paint masking, applying graphic paint mask, lifting/positioning parts.
  • Base/clear paint application.
  • Parts inspection and defect identification against a pre-established set of acceptance criteria, including tapping for air voids and conducting thorough visual inspections for any and all surface imperfections which might compromise the final aesthetic finish of the product.
  • Organizing tools, equipment, cleaning shop facilities and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
  • Assist in the training of Assistants and Apprentices.
